Landscape

Turimetta Head consists of undifferentiated rocks of the Narrabeen Group which are made up of sandstone, shale and tuff (Sydney Geological Series Sheet SI 56-5)

Bathymetry & Substrate

The outfall is located in approximately 3m water depth on the northern side of Turimetta Head (MHL769 1997).

Currents, Winds and Waves

No specific physical oceanographic study of Warriewood outfall appears to have been completed, however, there is likely to be significant overlap in oceanographic conditions with areas closer to Port Jackson (see North Head, Bondi and Malabar outfalls).
